Marcus Pupienus Africanus

Marcus Pupien ( i ) us Africanus was a Roman politician and senator in the 3rd century AD

Africanus probably went through a civilian career that was essentially limited to Rome. He was quaestor under Emperor Severus Alexander and, in 236, he was full consul with Emperor Maximinus Thrax .

Africanus was possibly a son of the emperor Pupienus .
