The Mare Smythii ( Lat. "Smyth Sea"; after William Henry Smyth ) is a lunar sea on the Earth's moon .

It has a mean diameter of 373 km and has a mascon .

The mare is located at the equator on the eastern border to the far side of the moon, on the selenographic coordinates 1 ° 18 'N; 87 ° 30 'E.
