The Annunciation Cathedral ( Russian Благовещенский собор Blagoveschenski Sobor ) is a Russian Orthodox cathedral in the city of Pavlodar in Kazakhstan . The construction of the sacred building began in 1993 and was opened on October 23, 1999. It is located on the bank of the Irtysh River in the center of the city.

The cathedral was built on the model of the cathedrals in the Moscow Kremlin . The seven domes are symbolic of the seven sacraments in the Orthodox Church. The nine bells also come from Moscow . The largest of the bells weighs 1024 kilograms, the smallest of them weighs 4 kilograms. The roof of the cathedral was made in Novosibirsk . The main cross is at a height of 51 meters.

Also in the park where the cathedral is located is the chapel of Nicholas of Myra . This was inaugurated on August 28, 1998 by the Archbishop.
