Maria Eugénia Martins de Nazaré Ribeiro

Maria Eugénia Martins de Nazaré Ribeiro (* 1956 ) is a Portuguese lawyer and judge at the Court of the European Union .

Martins de Nazaré Ribeiro studied in Lisbon , Brussels and Strasbourg . She worked as a lawyer in Portugal and Belgium. She spent a research stay at the Université Libre de Bruxelles at the Institut d'études européennes.

From 1986 to 2000 she was a legal clerk at the Moitinho de Almeida court in Portugal and from 2000 to 2003 a legal clerk at Bo Vesterdorf , President of the “Court of First Instance of the European Communities” (since 2009 “Court of the European Union”).

On March 31, 2003, she became a judge at the Court of First Instance; their term of office was extended to August 31, 2010 in 2004. Her term of office was again extended in 2010 to August 31, 2016.
