Maria Flink

Maria Flink (born January 18, 1892 in Schweiler ; † October 31, 1978 ) was a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( center ).

Life and work

After attending school, she completed a teacher training course and then worked in the school service. Flink had been a member of the German Center Party since 1918 and was represented on numerous party committees. She was a member of the council of the municipality of Rurberg and since 1964 mayor . She was also a member of the district council of the Monschau district .

From April 20, 1947 to July 4, 1954 and from February 11, 1958 to July 12, 1958, Flink was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . In the first and in the second electoral term she was elected from her party's national list. On February 11, 1958, she moved up on her party's state list for the resigned MP Friedrich Krabbe .

In Rurberg, the Maria-Flink-Weg was named after her.
