Maria Schönanger , with its full name "Pilgrimage Church of Our Lady of Sorrows in Maria Schönanger", is a Roman Catholic pilgrimage church in the area of ​​the Grebenzen Nature Park in Styria (Austria) in the area of ​​the communities of Neumarkt in Styria and Sankt Lambrecht . The church is located just above St. Lambrecht at the foot of the Grebenzen ( 1892  m ). The pilgrimage church is a beautiful hiking destination and is easy to reach from Sankt Lambrecht or Zeutschach in around two and a half hours, but the pilgrimage destination can also be reached by car.

The current church building was erected in 1828 in place of a chapel built in 1736. The pilgrimage church is looked after in pastoral care by its own pilgrimage pastor, who is assigned to the Benedictine Abbey of St. Lambrecht in St. Lambrecht. Maria Schönanger is currently the youngest branch church supervised from St. Lambrecht.

Maria Schönanger is mentioned in Austrian folk tales. A man on his way back from Maria Schönanger is said to have been warned by Saint Maria von Schönanger in his sleep about a trick of the devil.
