Marianne Feichtner

Marianne Feichtner is a German curling artist .

Career

Marianne Feichtner has been interested in and committed to ice stock sport from an early age. As a member of TuS Engelsberg, she was one of the founders of the curling division of her club, with which she took part in competitions from 1988 - initially in the district class. Although her club initially failed to achieve any major successes, she continued to develop athletically and was appointed to the German national curling team, with which she became European team champion in 1996. Also in the following year 1997 she took part in the European championship, in which the German team took 2nd place. The highlight of her career was winning the world championship in 1998.

To win this title, the entire German curling team was proposed to be awarded the silver laurel leaf in 1999, which Federal Minister of the Interior Otto Schily presented to the world curling champions on February 23, 2000.

In 2005 Feichtner won the German championship title with her team. In the same year the team finished third in the Wilhelm Neubronner Cup . In 2007 the team only took fourth place.
