Marie Byrd Seamount

The Marie Byrd Seamount is a deep sea mountain in the Amundsen Sea off the coast of Marie Byrd Land in Antarctica .
The namesake of the name recognized by the Advisory Committee for Undersea Features in June 1988 is Marie Ames Byrd (1915–1957), wife of the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd .
