Marie Louise Asseu

Marie Louise Asseu (died December 7, 2016 in Abidjan ), also known as Malou , was the stage name of an Ivorian actress whose real name is Cho Françoise Kouassi . She played for film and television as well as for the Théâtre national de Côte d'Ivoire and the ensemble Le Soleil de Cocody . Marie Louise Asseu mainly appeared in comedies such as the satirical television programs Faut pas fâcher and Ma famille. Marie Louise Asseu directed the 2007 film Un homme pour deux soeurs , at the same time she played Henriette Okay, one of the leading roles, and appeared as a producer. This film was later split into several episodes for television due to its success.

In addition to her acting activities, Marie Louise Asseu founded the Layè Festival, which takes place annually in Adzopé and is dedicated to the culture of the region. She also founded a beauty pageant: Miss All Levels.

The cause of death Marie Louise Asseus was initially given as a stroke , later it became known that she had suffered from inadequately treated meningitis . Marie Louise Asseu was posthumously appointed Knight of the Order of Honor by Henriette Diabaté . She was buried in Afféry in the Département d'Adzopé .
