content

Marie is born impatient - she can't wait to finally live. Her grandmother, with whom she has a very close relationship, becomes Marie's best friend. They tell each other stories, dash through the garden together, climb the cherry tree and share a passion for cookies. But then Marie's grandma has an accident and loses her words. Instead of playing with Marie, she now spends all day staring at the television. Only slowly does she find her language again, which, however, remains incomprehensible to most. Marie is the only one who understands.

When Marie's grandfather dies unexpectedly one day, her grandmother is in mourning and wants to see her husband one last time. Thanks to Marie's tenacity, they find a way against all the opposition of the nurses and her grandmother can say goodbye to her husband.
