history
Marien Hospital opened in 1872. Initially there were 43 beds, but the capacity quickly grew to 263 beds. In 1978 the St. Bonifatius Meta Klöckner Hospital in Kirchhörde was bought up and used as a psychiatric day clinic. In 2005 the surgical department was closed and the day clinic relocated to the Hombruch location.
Departments
In addition to internal medicine with a diabetological focus, the Marien Hospital Dortmund-Hombruch has a department for psychiatry with a day clinic and takes part in the psychiatric care of the Dortmund population.
