Marienberg (Papua New Guinea)

Marienberg is a place in the Bismarck Mountains in the East Sepik Province of Papua New Guinea, on the 3,000 meter high mountain of the same name and the Sepik River (formerly German Kaiserin Augusta River ) . Nearby places are Angoram , Mambel, Dabero, Bien, Mabuk and Ariapan.
There is a small runway for planes. There was already a mission station there during the German colonial times . That is why the term Marienberg Mission for Marienberg is still used today .
