Mariholm

Mariholm is an island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is the highest and most easterly of a group of small islands, which is 500 m south of Moe Island .

The name of the island is recorded for the first time on a map based on measurements by Norwegian whaling captain Petter Sørlle between 1912 and 1913. It is named after Marion Sørlle (called "Mari", later married Winge, 1910–1997), one of Sørlle's daughters.
