use

The stadium is only occasionally used as a football arena. Since the grandstand is located directly on the Formula 1 race track of the Singapore Grand Prix , it serves as a grandstand during the race. The stadium is also popular as a venue because of its visual uniqueness. The opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games took place in this stadium. It has also already been used for the national holiday celebrations.
