Mario Döweling (born February 13, 1980 in Alsfeld ) is a German local and state politician ( FDP ). From 2009 to 2014 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament .

Career

After graduating from high school in Alsfeld in 1999 and completing basic military service, Döweling studied history and geography between 2000 and 2006 to become a teacher at the grammar school at the Philipps University in Marburg . Since 2006 he has been teaching history and geography as a high school teacher.

His political career began in 2005 when he joined the Young Liberals and the FDP. In the same year he took over the chairmanship of the Vogelsberg district association of the young liberals and was elected its deputy district chairman in Central Hesse in 2006. Since 2008 he has also been a member of the district board of the FDP Mittelhessen.

In November 2008, the constituency assembly of the FDP Vogelsbergkreis Döweling unanimously elected its candidate for the state election on January 18, 2009. From 2009 to 2014 he was a member of the 18th Hessian state parliament.

Since February 2014 he has been working as a teacher again.
