Mario Schönwälder (* 1960 in Berlin ) is a German musician (style of electronic music ), producer and owner of the Berlin label Manikin Records .

Mario Schönwälder's compositions belong to the so-called Berlin School . In addition to the "Berlin School", he is also interested in "Ambient Music". After playing electronic musical instruments for the first time with Bernd Kistenmacher in the mid-eighties , Mario Schönwälder set up his own studio. In addition to several publications as a soloist, from 1989 onwards he published numerous recordings with other artists such as Detlef Keller , Thomas Fanger , Bas Broekhuis , Frank Rothe and many others.
