Bernd Kistenmacher (born October 26, 1960 in Berlin ) is a German musician , instrumental and electronic music style .

In 1982 he met the Berlin electronics technician Mario Schönwälder (owner of the Manikin Records label ) and worked with him. The first recordings were published in 1986, and in the 1986 vibration election he was voted “Best Newcomer”. After drawing attention to himself in 1985 with live concerts at the Electronics Days in Berlin, Kistenmacher achieved another important success in 1986 at the Frankfurt Synthesizer Days “White Waves”.

His solo albums, on which he occasionally worked with Harald Grosskopf , were initially assigned to the Berlin School , but Kistenmacher has now also devoted himself to world music .

Bernd Kistenmacher had three of his own labels called “Timeless Sounds”, “Musique Intemporelle” and “MI Records”, but the later CDs were released on the (now defunct) label “Green Tree Records”. The 2001 album "Un viaggio attraverso l'Italia" was published by the BSC Music label. The album "Celestial Movements" was released in 2009 on MellowJet Records . Almost at the same time as the publication, Kistenmacher played a concert again years later, this time in Paris. In June 2010 he was the first live musician to play in the Zeiss Planetarium Bochum, which was modernized and redesigned at the beginning of the year . On the same day his new CD “Beyond the Deep” was released, which is intended as a plea for the preservation of earthly resources.

For the relaunch of his artist website, ZONO Radio Jena dedicated an entire evening to him on January 1st, 2012 and broadcast Kistenmacher's concerts at the Frankfurt Synthesizer Days "White Waves 1986" and "White Waves 1987" on radio and internet in a retrospective.
