Marion Baruch (* 1929 in Timişoara ) is a Romanian artist who is also known under the artist name "Name Diffusion". She lived in Romania, Israel, Italy and France. Today she lives and works in Gallarate (Italy).

Life

When he was 20, Baruch had the opportunity to move to Israel. She studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and took courses with the painter Mordecai Ardon , a Bauhaus artist .

She had her first exhibition at the age of 24 in the Micra-Studio gallery in Tel Aviv . Thanks to a scholarship, she was able to travel to Italy, where she studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome from 1955 . She exhibited in Italy and France and lived with her family near Milan . Her work was represented by the Luciani Inga-Pin gallery. In 1990 she decided to sign her works of art with "Name Diffusion".

From 1993 to 2007 Baruch lived in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, on Rue Sorbier, 32, in France. "Name Diffusion" became a company registered in the commercial register that realized various projects and actions as an artistic collective.

Due to the loss of her eyesight, Baruch returned to Italy in 2007 and settled in Gallarate. She decided to exhibit her art under her own name. The physical limitations in old age forced the artist to redevelop her work again: She currently works with waste from the textile industry. The high contrast of dark fabrics on a white background allows her to create space-encompassing installations. Her works are exhibited internationally, including in Italy, France and Switzerland.
