Marion Lederhos

Marion Lederhos (born May 3, 1953 in Hohenems ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and municipal employee. From 1991 to 1999 she was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

Lederhos first attended elementary school in Götzis and then completed secondary school at the St. Josef Institute in Feldkirch. She then began an apprenticeship as a retail saleswoman and an apprenticeship as an advertising designer, and between 1974 and 1987 she was involved in the development and management of the Dornbirn Lebenshilfe. In 1987 she became head of the family department of the city of Dornbirn.

Politics and functions

Lederhos joined the Austrian People's Party and the ÖVP Women's Association around 1975 and was chairwoman of the ÖVP Women's Association in Dornbirn between 1987 and 1996. In January 1997 she was also elected district chairwoman of the Dornbirn Women's Association and until 1996 she held the position of managing director of the Vorarlberg Women's Association. Lederhos was also active in the Austrian People's Party between 1991 and 1999 as a member of the state party leadership of the ÖVP Vorarlberg and as a member of the ÖVP district committee in Dornbirn during its membership in the Vorarlberg state parliament. As a member of the Dornbirn constituency, she represented the Austrian People's Party from March 6, 1991 to October 4, 1999 in the Vorarlberg state parliament, succeeding Willi Aberer in 1991 . During her time in the state parliament she was a member of the culture committee, member of the social policy committee and member of the energy policy committee. When the district electoral list for the 1999 state elections was drawn up, Lederhos was defeated by the representatives of the Young ÖVP and the Lustenau local group, which meant that she ended up in an unelected position and left the state parliament in 1999.

Marion Lederhos was involved in local politics between May 14, 1985 and April 27, 1995 as a member of the city council of Dornbirn. There she belonged to the school and kindergarten committee, the housing committee, the examination committee and the social and elderly care committee.

Private

Marion Lederhos was born as the daughter of the fitter Ambros Lederhos and his wife Hildegard. She is single and has no children.
