Dehles is a district of the municipality Weischlitz in the Vogtlandkreis in Saxony . Together with the Reinhardtswalde district , Dehles was incorporated into the Reuth community on March 1, 1994 , which became part of the Weischlitz community on January 1, 2017.

The street village with corridor Dehles was in the south of the former municipality of Reuth, today in the west of the municipality of Weischlitz. The place is on the Dehlesbach on a higher level south of the mountain Hohe Wache (603 meters above sea level) and the neighboring mountain Wache (557 m above sea level) in a hilly area . District road 7868 runs through Dehles .

Dehles is located in the west of the Vogtlandkreis and in the Saxon part of the historic Vogtland . Geographically, the place is in the southwest of the natural area Vogtland (transition from the Thuringian slate mountains to the central Vogtland hill country ).

history

The place name "Deles" was first mentioned in 1418. In 1590 people spoke of "Dehles" and in 1640 of "Döhles" before Dehles reappeared in 1791, as the village is still called today. Regarding the manorial Dehles belonged proportion to the year 1583 manors Kloschwitz and Reuth . In 1764, in addition to the Reuth and Kloschwitz manors, the town was also partly under the Schwand manor and as an official village to the Plauen office . Ecclesiastically, Dehles has always been part of the Thossen parish . Until 1856, Dehles belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Plauen. In 1856 the place was affiliated with the Plauen court office and in 1875 with the Plauen administration . Dehles owned a windmill until before the First World War . After its demolition, the gearbox was installed in the Syrau Dutch windmill .

As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , the community of Dehles came to the district of Plauen-Land in the Chemnitz district in 1952 (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ). On January 1, 1957, Reinhardtswalde was incorporated into Dehles. The community of Dehles with Reinhardtswalde belonged to the Saxon district of Plauen from 1990. On January 1, 1994, it was incorporated into Reuth . This belonged to the Vogtlandkreis since 1996. On January 1, 2017, the municipality of Reuth was incorporated into Weischlitz with Dehles and all other districts.
