Kobitzschwalde is a district of the municipality Weischlitz in the Vogtlandkreis in Saxony . It was incorporated into Neundorf on January 1, 1994 , with which it belonged to the city of Plauen since January 1, 1999 . On April 1, 1999, he was reclassified to Weischlitz.

Location and traffic

Kobitzschwalde is located in the northern municipality of Weischlitz and west of Plauen . The Kobitzschwalder Lohbach rises in the local area and drains over the Rosenbach into the White Elster . The place is at the confluence of the county road K 7864 into the K 7865. Not far to the north extends the approximately 334.9 hectare large nature reserve Großer Weidenteich .

Kobitzschwalde is located in the west of the Vogtlandkreis and in the Saxon part of the historical Vogtland . Geographically, the place is in the center of the natural area Vogtland ( Central Vogtland Kuppenland ).

history

The Waldhufendorf Kobitzschwalde was mentioned in 1328 as Kowoldeswalde . Around 1532 the Grubersche homestead was called. Regarding the manorial rule , Kobitzschwalde belonged to the Neundorf manor until the 19th century . Until 1856 Kobitzschwalde belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Plauen . In 1856 the place was affiliated with the Plauen court office and in 1875 with the Plauen administration .

As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , the municipality of Kobitzschwalde became part of the Plauen-Land district in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Plauen from 1990 and became part of the Vogtland district in 1996. On January 1, 1994 Kobitzschwalde was incorporated into Neundorf , which in turn was incorporated into the independent city of Plauen on January 1, 1999 . Due to the reclassification to Weischlitz, Kobitzschwalde came back to the Vogtlandkreis on April 1, 1999.
