history

The name "Reinhartiswalde" appeared for the first time in the year 1300. Presumably the place was completely destroyed by the Hussite Wars . 1506 people spoke of "eyner wustung , Reynerswalde"; In 1557 he was called "Reinhartswalde". In the following time Reinhardtswalde was probably managed by Schönlind , because it was now called "Schönlindt vom guth uffn Reinhauswaldt". In 1791 the hamlet "Reinhardswalde" was written. Regarding the manorial rule Reinhardtswalde belonged partly to the manor Kemnitz and as an official village to the office of Plauen in the 16th century . In the 18th century the place belonged partly to the Reuth manor and as an official village to the Plauen office. Ecclesiastically, the place has always been parish to Kemnitz. Reinhartswalde belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Plauen until 1856 . In 1856 the place was affiliated with the Plauen court office and in 1875 with the Plauen administration . In 1928 there was an exchange of territory and a border adjustment between the Free State of Saxony and the State of Thuringia. As a result, the southern parcels of the Thuringian town of Spielmes , which came close to the town of Reinhardtswalde, were completely ceded to Saxony and incorporated into the Saxon community of Reinhardtswalde.

As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , the Reinhardtswalde community came to the Plauen-Land district in the Chemnitz district in 1952 (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ). On January 1, 1957, it was incorporated into Dehles . As a district of Dehles, the place belonged to the Saxon district of Plauen from 1990. On January 1, 1994, the community of Dehles was incorporated into Reuth . This belonged to the Vogtlandkreis since 1996. On January 1, 2017, the municipality of Reuth with Reinhardtswalde and all other districts were incorporated into Weischlitz.
