history

The village of Berglas was first mentioned in 1333 as "Pergleniz". Regarding the manorial rule , Berglas was divided. Around 1542 the place belonged partly to the parish Großzöbern and the manor Geilsdorf. From 1764 to 1856 Berglas was under the Pirk manor . Until 1856, Berglas was in the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Voigtsberg . In terms of church, Berglas has always been part of Großzöbern, which was a so-called parish in the Vogtland border region. In 1856 Berglas was affiliated with the Plauen court office and in 1875 with the Plauen administration . Together with Kleinzöbern , Berglas was incorporated into Großzöbern on April 1, 1939.

As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , Berglas came to the district of Plauen-Land in the Chemnitz district (renamed Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ) as the district of Großzöbern in 1952 , which was continued as the Saxon district of Plauen in 1996 and became part of the Vogtland district in 1996 . On January 1, 1994, the municipality of Großzöbern merged with six other municipalities to form the municipality of Burgstein , which in turn was incorporated into the larger municipality of Weischlitz on January 1, 2011. Since then Großzöbern, Kleinzöbern and Berglas have formed the village of Großzöbern.
