The Kammweg Erzgebirge – Vogtland is a German long-distance hiking trail through Thuringia and Saxony . It was opened in 2011 and continues the tradition of the historic Kammweg .

history

The Erzgebirge – Vogtland ridge trail was inaugurated on May 13, 2011. In contrast to the historic Kammweg , it runs exclusively on the German side. It begins in Geising in the Eastern Ore Mountains and ends after 289 kilometers in Blankenstein in Thuringia, where it connects to the Rennsteig and Frankenweg . The main supporters of the Erzgebirge – Vogtland ridge trail are the Erzgebirge Tourism Association and the Vogtland Tourism Association . The joint project was implemented with the support of the municipalities and districts on Kammweg, the Sachsenforst state enterprise, the Erzgebirge – Vogtland nature park and the hiking associations of the Vogtland, Erzgebirge and Franconian Forest. The Kammweg Erzgebirge – Vogtland has been certified as a quality trail by the Association of German Mountain and Hiking Associations . Since 2011 this ridge path has been one of the Top Trails of Germany .

Course: Geising - Altenberg - Rehefeld - above Holzhau - Rechenberg-Bienenmühle - Clausnitz - Friedebach - Neuhausen - Seiffen - above Olbernhau - Rübenau - Kühnhaide - Reitzenhain - statutes - Schmalzgrube - Jöhstadt-Schlössel - Königswalde - Bärenstein - Neudorf / Kretscham-Rothensehm - Fichtelberg (1214.7 m) - Oberwiesenthal - Tellerhäuser - Rittersgrün - Johanngeorgenstadt - Auersberg (1019 m) - Wildenthal - Weitersglashütte - Carlsfeld - Mühlleithen - Muldenberg - Schöneck - Hermsgrün - Leubetha - Dreiländereck - Bobenneukirchen - Burgstein / Krebes - Gutenfürst - Gebersreuth - Hirschberg - Pottiga - Blankenberg - Blankenstein .
