Jessica Eisermann

Jessica Eisermann (* in Bonn ) is a German journalist , sociologist and media scientist .

education

Eisermann studied sociology , theater, film and television studies , art history and political science in Cologne , Florence and Berlin . Her master's thesis dealt with the topic of self-regulation in the media and the German Press Council . She received her doctorate from the European University Institute in Florence on the subject of media violence .

life and work

Eisermann has been working for WDR since 2001 . From 2009 to 2017 she was editor-in-chief at WDR, responsible for the TV program for the ARD Einsfestival , now One . When WDR took over the responsibility for Einsfestival in 2005, Eisermann was responsible for organizing Einsfestival based on the model of BBC Three as the young public television program of ARD.

Eisermann initiated and was responsible for the following in-house productions at Einsfestival: Einsweiter , Coldmirror , Nadia on the trail of love , The very best Sebastian Winkler Show , UMZUG! , Country hawks and clipsters .
