Ramoldsreuth was a place near Großzöbern in the Saxon Vogtlandkreis , which was destroyed in the course of the construction of the Dröda dam (1964–1971). His corridor was incorporated into Großzöbern on September 1, 1968, with which it came to the municipality of Burgstein on January 1, 1994 and to the municipality of Weischlitz on January 1, 2011 .

Ramoldsreuth was located in the Feilebach valley southwest of Großzöbern. The former location is now in the dam area of ​​the Dröda dam, Ramoldsreuth dam. State road 319 (former federal highway 173 ) leads through the corridor of Ramoldsreuth in the south and federal motorway 72 in the northern corridor .

The former location is in the west of the Vogtlandkreis and in the Saxon part of the historic Vogtland . Geographically, the desert lies in the center of the natural area Vogtland ( Central Vogtland hill country ). The ridge path Erzgebirge – Vogtland runs through the town hall .

history

The village of Ramoldsreuth was first mentioned in 1301 as "Ramungsrute". Regarding the manorial rule , the place was divided. Around 1542 Ramoldsreuth belonged partly to the German Order of Knights at Plauen , the Hof monastery , the Heinersgrün manor and, as an official village, directly to the Voigtsberg office . Around 1764 to 1856, Ramoldsreuth was partly under the control of the Heinersgrün manor and the other part as an official village directly to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Voigtsberg. Ecclesiastically belonged Ramoldsreuth have always been armed parish Wiedersberg . In 1856 Ramoldsreuth was affiliated to the Oelsnitz court office and in 1875 to the Oelsnitz administration . Through the second district reform in the GDR , the municipality of Ramoldsreuth came to the Oelsnitz district in the Chemnitz district in 1952 (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ).

Between 1964 and 1971 the Dröda dam was built in the Feilebach valley. Since Ramoldsreuth was in the dam area of the future dam and also in the 5 km restricted area of the then inner-German border , its demolition was sealed. The devastated town hall was formally incorporated into Großzöbern in the Plauen-Land district on September 1, 1968 . The Ramoldsreuth barrier today reminds of the former location . As part of the community of Großzöbern, the corridor of Ramoldsreuth has belonged to the Saxon district of Plauen since 1990, which was merged into the Vogtland district in 1996. On January 1, 1994, the municipality of Großzöbern merged with six other municipalities to form the municipality of Burgstein , which in turn was incorporated into the larger municipality of Weischlitz on January 1, 2011. Since then, the Ramoldsreuth corridor has been part of the Großzöbern community of Weischlitz.
