The Amtshauptmannschaft Oelsnitz was an administrative district in the Kingdom of Saxony and later in the Free State of Saxony . Today your area belongs to the Vogtlandkreis in Saxony. From 1939 to 1952 the administrative district was called Landkreis Oelsnitz .
history
1,874 were in Saxony Kingdom as part of a comprehensive administrative reform new district governor teams set up and Amtshauptmann teams. The Oelsnitz administration was formed from the judicial districts of Adorf, Markneukirchen, Oelsnitz and Schöneck, which had previously belonged to the Plauen administration in the Zwickau district administration. The Saxon Amtshauptmann teams were in function and size similar to a county .
In 1939 the Oelsnitz administration was renamed the Oelsnitz district . This district continued to exist in the GDR until the territorial reform of 1952 and was then transferred to the new Oelsnitz district , which was assigned to the Karl-Marx-Stadt district .
