Schönlind is a district of the municipality Weischlitz in the Vogtlandkreis in Saxony . He was incorporated into the Reuth community on January 1, 1972 , which came to the Weischlitz community on January 1, 2017.

Location and traffic

The Waldhufendorf Schönlind is located east of the municipality of Reuth on the district road 7855 south of the nature reserve near Thossen . The place lies between the mountains Hohe Wache (603 meters above sea level) in the southwest and Wartberg (558 meters above sea level) in the east. The northern town hall is partially bounded by the Schönlinder Burgbach, which drains over the Rosenbach into the Weisse Elster .

Schönlind is located in the west of the Vogtlandkreis and in the Saxon part of the historic Vogtland . Geographically, the place is in the southwest of the natural area Vogtland (transition from the Thuringian slate mountains to the central Vogtland hill country ).

history

In 1418 the name Schonlint was first mentioned in a document. Already Linde was written in 1508 and Schönlind bei Plauen in 1875 . Regarding the manorial rule , Schönlind belonged proportionally to the manors Geilsdorf and Reuth and as an official village to the office of Plauen . In terms of church, Schönlind has always been parish to Thossen . Until 1856 Schönlind belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Plauen. In 1856 the place was affiliated with the Plauen court office and in 1875 with the Plauen administration .

As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , the municipality of Schönlind became part of the Plauen-Land district in the Chemnitz district in 1952 (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ). On January 1, 1972, Thossen was incorporated into Reuth. As a district of Reuth, Schönlind belonged to the Saxon district of Plauen from 1990, which was added to the Vogtland district in 1996. On January 1, 2017, the community of Reuth was incorporated into Weischlitz with Schönlind and all other districts.
