The Rosenbach (GKZ: 56616) is an approximately 14 km long orographically left tributary of the White Elster in Vogtland , Germany .

geography

The Rosenbach is formed from several source rivers in the Thuringian and Saxon border areas and begins at the confluence of the Holzwiesenbach and Kornbach rivers about 600 m south of the Saxon village of Demeusel . The height here is 428  m above sea level. NHN . The stationing of the Rosenbach, however, is carried out via the Holzwiesenbach, whose source is near Stelzen in Thuringia at an altitude of 549  m above sea level. NHN lies.

The Rosenbach flows in the main south-east direction, passing through the villages of Rodau in the north, Leubnitz in the south and Rößnitz in the east. At Kloschwitz , the Rosenbach receives its most important tributary, the Schönlinder Burgbach . After crossing under the Rosenbach valley bridge of the Plauen – Cheb railway line , the Rosenbach flows into the south of the Plauen district of Straßberg at 343  m above sea level. NHN on the left in the White Elster .

The Rosenbach drains a 67.2 km² catchment area over the White Elster, Saale and Elbe to the North Sea . With a height difference of 85 m between the origin and the mouth, the mean bed slope is 8.2 ‰.

The stream is the namesake of the community Rosenbach / Vogtl, which was formed in 2011 through the merger . .
