Location of Leubnitz in Saxony

Leubnitz is a village and part of Rosenbach / Vogtl. in the Vogtlandkreis in the westernmost part of Saxony , not far from the A 9 and the A 72 .

geography

The districts of Demeusel , Leubnitz, Rodau , Rößnitz and Schneckengrün belong to the village of Leubnitz . It borders on the town of Pausa-Mühltroff , the community of Weischlitz , the town of Plauen in the Vogtland district and the town of Tanna in the Thuringian Saale-Orla district .

The district of Leubnitz borders on four other districts of the municipality and one district of the municipality of Pausa-Mühltroff .

history

Leubnitz Castle

Leubnitz was first mentioned in a document in 1300. The place belonged to the Plauen office until the 19th century .

On January 1, 1999, the previously independent municipalities of Leubnitz, Rodau merged with the districts of Demeusel, Rößnitz and Schneckengrün to form the new municipality of Leubnitz, which on January 1, 2011 in the municipality of Rosenbach / Vogtl. rose.
