Unterpirk is part of the municipality of Rosenbach / Vogtl. in the Saxon Vogtland . The village belonging to the locality Mehltheuer is located west of Plauen , on the border with Thuringia .
geography
Unterpirk is located in the northwest of the municipality of Rosenbach / Vogtl. and borders on two other districts of the municipality, three districts of the municipality of Pausa-Mühltroff and one district of the municipality of Zeulenroda-Triebes in the Thuringian district of Greiz . The village is crossed by the state road 316. In the village, the Holzbach flows into the Peintenbach, which in turn flows into the Weida at the border with Pausa .

history
The place was first mentioned in 1357 as a birch , which should also make the meaning of the name as "place near the birch or on the birch grove" clear. The spelling changed from Niddern Birke , Nyder Pirck , Nydernpircke , Unterbirck and others to the current name Unterpirk . Since 1583 the place belonged to the office Pausa . After belonging to the Pausa court office from 1856 and to the Plauen administration from 1875, the place finally became part of the Plauen-Land district in 1952 . 1974 Unterpirk was incorporated into Mehltheuer. Together with Mehltheuer, the place belongs to the municipality of Rosenbach / Vogtl on January 1, 2011 .
