history

Village center of Fasendorf, 2000

The history of the village began in 1301 when the knight Merklin zu Mylau left five fiefdoms in Fasendorf to the Teutonic Brothers zu Plauen .

The settlement area in the center shows the twelve closed courtyards from the time of settlement almost unchanged. The Fasenbach, passing west of Fasendorf, and the Dorfbach , where the village is located, are tributaries of the Rosenbach .

In 1506 there were after Erbbuch for the Office Plauen twelve teams (farmsteads), six of the Rödern lehnspflichtig , five to the Commander of the German Order of Knights to Plauen and an estate the priest to Kürbitz .

In the years 1839 and 1848 the upper local area, Oberfasendorf, was expanded.

After the First World War, the old master of Vogtland painting Walther Löbering , who came from Plauen, settled in Fasendorf. He also set up a small observatory here .

On January 1, 1974, Fasendorf became part of Mehltheuer , so there was no longer an independent local board.
