Oberreichenau is a district of the town of Pausa-Mühltroff in the Vogtlandkreis in Saxony .

The former Vorwerk Oberreichenau is located in front of the southwest access to the former city limits of Pausa on the district road 7874 in the hilly terrain of the Thuringian Slate Mountains .

history

The Vorwerk, first mentioned in 1451, became a manor in the 15th century that farmed 137 hectares of land. The former water mill Oberreichenau, also called Haasenmühle, was first mentioned in a document in 1506. The mill building was demolished in the winter of 1988. The traces of the mill are gone. In 1834 37 people lived here, in 1871 there were 197 people and in 1950 even 296. The evangelically oriented people parish in Pausa. The administrative authority was first located in Pausa ( Amt Pausa ), then in Plauen and from 2008 this function has been performed by the Vogtlandkreis. 1418 was the first documentary mention. The village was mentioned on the records as Reichenaw . The name changed often and was called Ober Reichenar in 1578 . On July 1, 1961, the district was incorporated into Pausa. In 1992, Pausa and its districts were incorporated from Thuringia to Saxony.
