Ebersgrün is a district of the town of Pausa-Mühltroff in the Vogtlandkreis in Saxony .

location

The Waldhufendorf is located northeast of the town of Pausa on the county road 513 in hilly terrain of the East Thuringian slate mountains . In 1900 the district had a total of 566 hectares of agricultural land. The route of the Werdau – Mehltheuer railway with a connection to Leipzig runs through it .

history

In 1402 the place was first mentioned in a document to Eberhartsgrüne , in 1451 Ebersgrun , 1466 Ebirssgrune and 1467 Eberßgruͤn . In 1506 they wrote Ewerßgrun , in 1529 Eberßgrun and finally from 1578 on Ebersgrün . In 1568 the higher authority had its seat in Pausa ( Amt Pausa ). This moved from Zeulenroda to Plauen and is classified in the Vogtlandkreis from 2008. The place became Protestant after the Reformation. In the village there is a parish church with an eventful history, the belfry of which was renewed in 2017. The roof structure still has to be repaired due to major damage. In 2013, four wind turbines were installed to generate electricity.
