Ranspach is a district of the town of Pausa-Mühltroff in the Vogtlandkreis in Saxony .

location

The Waldhufendorf Ranspach is located southwest of the town of Pausa on the county road 7874 on a higher, partly wooded, hilly plain of the Southeast Thuringian Slate Mountains .

history

In 1377 the place was named as Rabinspach and in 1378 in castrum Mühltroff . The name changed often and in 1545 the village was called as in 2012, namely Ranspach. In 1551 26 settlers lived in the settlement. The number of people increased to 368 by 1939. In 1964 there were 387. The people parish in the neighboring Thierbach . The place belonged to the Plauen office until the 19th century .

In 1992 the town of Pausa and the neighboring towns moved to the state of Saxony. The predominantly agricultural village had a municipal area of 402 hectares in 1900's.
