The Leubnitz Castle is a 1794 built unpaved residential palace in the district of Leubnitz the municipality Rosenbach in Saxon Vogtland .

history

The castle was rebuilt in 1794 by Heinrich Wilhelm von Kospoth on the site of the previous building that burned down in 1763 in the early classicist style . In 1890 a landscape park was created on an area of ​​12 hectares. The estate was owned by Count Kospoth until it was expropriated in 1945.

The “Friends of Leubnitz Castle” association is responsible for ensuring that the castle is used in accordance with its heritage .

The castle serves as an exhibition and event location, and changing exhibitions take place in the gallery in the cross vault. The castle also houses the permanent exhibition "Nature and Hunting". The castle is also the venue for the Leubnitz concerts, the castle and mill festival in July, and a brass music festival that alternates annually with the castle terrace festival in August.
