German Volleyball Bundesliga 1997/98 (women)
The 1997/98 season of the Volleyball Bundesliga was the twenty-second edition of this competition. The Schwerin SC was the second time German champions .

The USC Münster took up the title as defending champion. Dresdner SC and TV Fischbek Hamburg came from the second division.

Championship round
In the final, USC Münster won against Schwerin SC. The title was stripped of the Münster women because their US player Wendy Stammer had taken an ephedrine-containing drug for asthma in the final game and was convicted of doping. The Schweriner SC was thus German champion. CJD Berlin landed in third place.
Relegation round
Relegated or returnees were the 1st VC Schwerte, TV Dingolfing and TV Fischbek Hamburg.
