German Volleyball Bundesliga 1977/78 (women)

The 1977/78 season of the Volleyball Bundesliga was the second edition of this competition. The 1st VC Schwerte became German champion for the first time .

Teams

This season the following eight teams played in the first division:

• DJK West Berlin
• 1. VC Hanover
• USC Munster
• ESV Neuaubing
• TG Rüsselsheim
• 1. VC swords
• TV Wetzlar
• 1. VC Wiesbaden

The USC Münster took up the title as defending champion. The newcomers were the DJK West Berlin and the TG Rüsselsheim.

German champion became the 1st VC Schwerte. The DJK West Berlin and ESV Neuaubing were relegated.
