German Volleyball Bundesliga 1979/80 (women)

The 1979/80 season of the Volleyball Bundesliga was the fourth edition of this competition. The USC Munster was the third time German champions .

Teams

This season the following eight teams played in the first division:

The first VC Schwerte took up the title as defending champion. Post SV Köln, ESV Neuaubing and Godesberger TV were promoted. The team of the 1st VC Hannover joined the VfL Hannover.

Results

After the main round, the teams were divided into a championship and a relegation round, each with four participants.
