The 2005/06 season of the volleyball Bundesliga began on October 15, 2005 and ended on May 7, 2006. Schweriner SC became German champions for the sixth time . Grimma and Braunschweig had to get down.

This season the following eleven teams played in the first division:

The USC Münster took up the title as defending champion. From the second division came VC Muldental Grimma and Köpenicker SC.
