German Volleyball Bundesliga 1986/87 (women)

The 1986/87 season of the Volleyball Bundesliga was the eleventh edition of this competition. Bayern Lohhof (formerly SV Lohhof ) was able to defend its title from the previous year and became German champion for the fifth time . Darmstadt and Hanover had to relegate.

• TSV Vilsbiburg

Bayern Lohhof, whose team had changed from SV Lohhof, took on as defending champions. The climbers were VC Schwerte, VfL Hannover and Orplid Darmstadt.

The four best-placed teams in the main round contested the final round. The points scored in the main round were halved and taken to the final round.
