The TV Creglingen ( Turnverein 1876 Creglingen eV ) is a sports club from the Tauber Franconian Creglingen in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg . It was founded in 1876 and today has around 870 active members.

A figurehead of TV Creglingen for years was the volleyball department , which was built up from 1980 by coach Rudi Sonnenbichler with excellent youth work. In 1987 the female B-youth of TV Creglingen won the German championship title.
The first women's team played in the first Bundesliga in the 1990s . At that time, coaches were u. a. Bernd Werscheck , Mathias Eichinger and Xiaojun Yang . Well-known Bundesliga players were Karin Steyaert , Brit Wiedemann , Danja Müsch , Claudia Pavlicek , Birgit Thumm , Nicole Fetting and Sabrina Roß . Creglingen was then a volleyball junior base. Over time, the club also offered a part-time boarding school for talented young volleyball players. In 2002 the volleyball players had to withdraw from the Bundesliga for financial reasons. In the same year the association founded the ebm-papst volleyball school under the sponsorship of the TVC. After TV Creglingen was relegated to the Bundesliga at the time, the main sponsor ebm stayed on board and the company focused on promoting its own offspring. At the end of August 2013, the volleyball school relocated from Creglingen to Niederstetten .
In 2010 the volleyball department founded a senior women’s team, which immediately took part in the German championship.
After working for TV Creglingen, Rudi Sonnenbichler looked after the national team of sitting volleyball players at the Paralympics.
