Renamed to Volley Cats Berlin

In 1999 the association was renamed Volley Cats Berlin, as there was no longer any connection with the Christian Youth Village Association in Germany. This was followed by seasons with little sporting success, the worst club result in the 2001/02 season with 10th place in the women's volleyball league. The club was also doing poorly financially and mismanagement, failed transfer policies and a change of coach dominated the headlines. The end came in May 2002 when the club went bankrupt.
