Béatrice Dömeland (born August 4, 1973 in Magdeburg ) is a former German volleyball player . Today she works in sports management.

Career

Dömeland began her volleyball career in a Magdeburg training center. To improve her chances, she went to TSC Berlin in 1987 . Four years later she moved to CJD Berlin within the capital , where she won the national double and the European Cup Winners' Cup in her first season . In addition, she was appointed to the national team for the first time in 1993. In 1994 the title was defended in the Bundesliga and in the DVV Cup , which the Berliners won three times in a row with Dömeland. With the national team, she reached fifth place at the World Cup in Brazil . A year later she took part in her first European championship and in 1996 she moved to Schweriner SC . After winning the German championship in 1998 and participating in the World Cup in Japan , she came to Dresdner SC . The Olympic Games in 2000 marked the high point of her career . Two years later, she played her last national team games at the World Cup in her own country . She was still active in the club for two years. She then took on marketing and sponsoring tasks as a member of the management team at Dresdner SC.
