Straßberg is a district of the city of Plauen in the western part of the city , which was incorporated in 1999. The district is identical to the district of Straßberg and represents a village in Plauen.

The place was mentioned in 1194 as Strazberg . It was a row village in a block corridor . The place belonged to the Plauen office until the 19th century . The community then belonged to the administrative authority of Plauen and then to the district of Plauen . In the course of the district reform it became part of the Vogtland district until it was incorporated into the then still district-free town of Plauen on January 1, 1999 .
