The Plauen – Cheb railway line forms the eastern border of the district . In the middle of the district is the former barracks of the 10th Infantry Regiment No. 134 which today houses an administrative center, including the Plauen District Court . Next to it is the final stop “Neundorf” of the Plauen tram . Most of the district, especially in the southern part, is characterized by housing estates.
