history

The railway bridge on the former Lottengrün – Plauen railway line

The place was mentioned in 1418 as "Winczigen Friesen". It was a farmer's hamlet in a block corridor . Kleinfriesen belonged to the Plauen office until the 19th century . The place together with Tauschwitz , Reusa and Sorga formed a rural community. The community later belonged to the administrative authority of Plauen and was incorporated into the city of Plauen in 1903 , shortly before this city became a major city .

The federal highway 173 runs through Kleinfriesen . The "Plauen-Ost" junction of the federal motorway 72 is located on the northeastern border of the district .

Until the early 1970s, the Lottengrün – Plauen railway ran through the district .

The "Neuensalz Nord" and "Neuensalz Süd" industrial parks are located in the northeast of the district. Various industries are located there. Among other things, the bottling of the Sternquell brewery is located there .
