The area of the district consists of 82.0% agricultural land and 6.7% forest . The remaining area is streets, residential and industrial areas.
history
The place was mentioned in 1418 as a Stockeich . It was a manor settlement in block and block corridor. Stöckigt belonged to the Plauen office until the 19th century . The village formed a rural community with the Brand group of houses . The community later belonged to the Plauen administration , which was later renamed "Landkreis Plauen". On July 1, 1950, it was incorporated into the then still independent city of Plauen .
