The eastern border of the Hammertorvorstadt is formed by the White Elster . The north-western half of the district is dominated by a large allotment garden and in the far north is Cemetery II . While the south-eastern part is mainly characterized by commercial areas, on which, among other things, the Plauen thermal power station is located. The parts are separated from each other by the federal highway 173 . The vocational school center for business and health "Anne Frank" is on the western border. Approximately in the middle there is a residential area with partly listed houses.
