Neundorf is a district of Plauen ( city area west ), which was incorporated in 1999. The district is identical to the Neundorf district and is a village in Plauen.
Geographical location
Neundorf is located on the western edge of the town of Plauen and borders on six other districts of Plauen and two places in other communities in the Vogtland district . The largest elevation in the village is the Wartberg, on which the Neundorf water tower is located.

The area of the village consists of 46.2% agricultural land and 17.6% forest . The remaining area is streets, residential and industrial areas.
history
The place was mentioned in a document in 1298 as a nova villa . It was a street green village in Gelängeflur (Oberneundorf) or a manor hamlet in Gutsblockflur (Untersteundorf). The place belonged to the Plauen office until the 19th century . The municipality of Neundorf then belonged to the administrative authority of Plauen and then to the district of Plauen . On January 1, 1994 Kobitzschwalde was incorporated. On January 1, 1999, Neundorf was incorporated into the then still independent town of Plauen and Kobitzschwalde was reunified to Weischlitz .
